Re: 1962 Ranchero Parts Chaser 200 CID T5 5 speed
teflon taped joints, and installed clamps, I also had to drill and easyout a broken valve cover bolt, then used those famous T handle hold downs...had to cut off 3/8" off every one, as the must have been for aluminum valve covers.....back on the road by the weekend is the goal.......
Re: 1962 Ranchero Parts Chaser 200 CID T5 5 speed

Too flashy for a "parts runner" IMO. The painted steelies fit the build style better, and the whitewalls are definitely killing it. Flip them around to blackwalls and it would be easier on the eyes...

Re: 1962 Ranchero Parts Chaser 200 CID T5 5 speed
Painted the Floors with POR 15......some fake dyno mat...then finish it up......Mig welder was messing up, but Weldco/Praxair got me going again....
Re: 1962 Ranchero Parts Chaser 200 CID T5 5 speed
Insides ALMOST done....maybe too nice for a "parts chaser"
Re: 1962 Ranchero Parts Chaser 200 CID T5 5 speed
Tommy boy got home, he helped me re-install the seat back in the car...now speakers and she is pretty much DONE.....
Re: 1962 Ranchero Parts Chaser 200 CID T5 5 speed
Coming home from the meeting today, I smelled fuel, and a dead spot 1500-2500 RPM, so I pulled in the shop, found a leaky line, #5 spark plug loose, so some basic PM stuff, I moved #1 to #2 and she is back running great, so don't neglect those cars, gotta pop the hood every now and then...
