That was one of the best shows I have ever been to. I had a blast. I know it was rough on you guys. It's hard to have fun when you have to work the show to make everyone else happy.Blue Eyed Devil wrote:

I wish I had the pics from the show on this forum but when we switched servers Tim killed our old forum and everything we had on it. Here some pics from the R.D. Forum

Cool pics of the rides on the road devils site Reb. Where was that show at? Sort of looks like Dayton Ohio. Also noticed your Red Chevrolet!

Yes it was right in the middle of downtown Dayton (hence the name) at the old diner on St. Clair & 4th St. It was a blast, but the logistics were a nightmare. Maybe again someday...

 The last time I was in downtown Dayton was around 1990, right before I moved down to glorious Kentucky. Although I have cruised up I-75 heading to Vandalia a few times, which was a nightmare with all the road construction on 75.

Re: few Gasser pics
The show was awsome! Just think of standing in the middle of the street in a city like downtown Dayton and watching a gasser line up and blast off....blowing the driveshaft, watching the wheels slam into the 1/4's so hard from the spring warp and then spitting the driveshaft out from under the car. I was in the right spot to watch it and feel pieces of the u joint smack me in the foot. Yeah I was that close. Perfect! lol . Before the show was over the car was fixed so he could drive it back home! My 61 was freshly painted and custom pinstriping was all over it. The next day I had to go to the car wash to wash all the rubber off the car from a biker who was roasting the back tire off ihis scooter in figure 8's in a crowd of people dancing to the live band. It was a killer show! It's kind of hard for me to go to cruise in and sit in a lawn chair after being at these kind of shows. I get bored real easy.

Yeah, I hate sitting too and would rather be cruising or going to something like the Black Top Bash, where there is always something happening. Now that was fun!

Yeah, it was a pretty good time. It was pretty early on with this deal because Jim was there with his Merc. The driveshaft flying out from under that '57 Chevy was by far the highlight for me. We were standing a bit close. I think I've only seen that car about once since then. If I remember right, he was with the BSM boys.

Yeah, I know. They sure have some cool straight axle old Chevys and some cute girl friends though, even though they don't exist.

Instead of using the quick reply you can go down to the lower left hand side of the forum were it says (NEWTOPIC) or (POSTREPLY) in the white boxes. Click (POSTREPLY) and a bigger box will open and there will be a video clip showing, just like you post pics. Use it to put videos one. YouTube and others are used that way.

Re: few Gasser pics
I have 2 fastbacks,a 65 and a 66(the one in the picture).I am building a frame for this one and going to make it a gasser to keep.It won't be done anytime soon but when it is I am going to beat the guts out of it.Several people that I know get aggrevated when I talk about doing this to a fastback but I already have it and I want another gasser. It is very rough but has a nice top.
