Re: Scroungers C.C. 1964 Falcon Drag Car
lol. bad thing is that the reason I messed my tailgate up is because I had an old Ford engine in the back of the Chavy and all that horsepower almost tossed that 800 pound pig out onto the street lol. I do thank you for the use of your strap though. :|big dogs 42 wrote:See if i let you use another ratchet strap! :farao: my tailgates fallen and i cant get it up

must have been a chevy designer on the design team when they designed that grille on that old ford because it sure does look like a bowtie to me.

Re: Scroungers C.C. 1964 Falcon Drag Car
yes she is..
today I took some of the gasser donation money and bought two sets of hood pins for it. I found one set in my tool box. we need one more set.
Ronnie and I drove the Scroungers Parts Chaser (the dually) and the tow dolly out to Ryans tonight to pick her up. Ryan had her all ready and we give her a little push to get it on the dolly. man this thing is light. we made it back to my garage and with the help of Jonathan and John we unloaded the gasser and it's 460/C6 and 9" rear drivetrain from the truck. she is resting waiting for the weather to warm up a bit so we can get to work on her.
we need some 1/4 plates to make some front motor mounts. jeff needed the frame and engine mounts so they are gone. anyone have any steel sitting around?

Speaking of being light..........are ya planning on making some frame connectors before you hit the throttle? That old thing might bend in the middle.

If that's the right year, it's the wrong body style.

Re: Scroungers C.C. 1964 Falcon Drag Car
I was hoping someone would stop by long enough to help get the Gasser on the dolly. No one did. I figured I wait for Corey but he ran off to baseball. I backed the truck up tpo the door and start shoving until it almost ran over me coming back off the ramps. Cassie O'Brian happen to be driving by and jumped out of his truck long enough to help me shove the car on the dolly.
I went in and figured I wait for Corey but Vickers called and asked what was up. I told him what I was doing and he stopped down and helped me take it to the new garage.
Here Vickers trying on the gasser for size.
After the grillout we need to get the engine and stuff in her. If everyone is busy with their own stuff and don't want to work on it then we need to have a meeting one night to figure out what to do with it. We have a lot of money tied up in this thing and a slew of parts have been donated. we need to get it on the road if you guys still want to.
This new garage has electric so we can weld in there.

Re: Scroungers C.C. 1964 Falcon Drag Car
I can't do anything this week and I have to move some stuff around the garage so we can work. I've been so busy setting up stuff for the rabbit hash gig and some other stuff that I'm backed up on things around the house. The next Wensday is the 16th, we will shoot for that. I should be cought up on stuff and have the garage fixed and some tools up there by then.
