I forgot about that- the old stuff is always a compromise isn't it? But it's a lot more funner! Keep on building!

I don't know why you just don't go ahead and shove a SBC in that little truck so you can cruise it around in style.

Put SOMETHING in it, it won't go without it. I like the ford in a ford concept, but for god's sake, put sumthin in it. Anything providing a means of locomotion would be good. I like my diesel in my 54, but that's me.

Re: The 37 is getting a new motor
I have a 272 Y block that would look real good sitting in it but want to keep it powered by a six,the stovebolt sixes are the only should let lay motors I will touch but if I ever decide to go V8 it will be a Olds rocket. Its just a carb leak and no reason to go V8 because of that and its been fixed, now that I have a few 235s I am thinking on a 42-8 Chevy coupe to put one of the extras in. Even though the motor has a rattle its actually running good and has plenty of power and will run it until it blows or next winter which ever comes first,if I pull the motor before it explodes I am going to check it out before the new motor goes in. If I can get by with just turning the crank I will set it back in and try to get more miles out of it,I did not want to tear the motor apart before I had another just in case the noise had something to do with the cylinder that was sleeved. If I did not have a extra motor it would probably be junk and then on the hunt for another with the truck apart for a long time but if its just a rod bearing and not the sleeve then it would be worth it to fix it and be done,I am never going to rebuild a motor and just polish the crank.
