Clean truck someone kept it up nice. Only thing its a Chevy oh well we all have our weakness . Just one more thing though i didn't see the optional tow hooks on the bumpers so a Ford could tow it around town. Shocked That should fire up some keyboards !!! lol! All kidding a side nice truck!

Well this is a 86 that has a 350 crate motor, and it also has the limited slip rearend. I bought the car for $2500. I don't have any serious plans for this yet until i can get my other projects more road ready but I don't think that I will do anything to wild to this one its just to nice to cut up. And it doesn't have tow hook but it does have those nice push bumpers on the front of the bumper so that it can help push those fords off the road.

Has it got heat? That's what I'm missing. If you do anything to it.if I remember, Bell Tech spindles are pretty cheap. Spindles, springs and rims and yer dun! (Maybe something to light a fire!)

I think Glenn had some drop spindles and or springs. getting them may be hard though. I'd leave it alone and drive the wheels off it.

Oh come on, what kind of car guy would he be then? I mean, I gotta a dumb little Saturn and can't stop myself from wanting to change things on it. If I had that Elky, I might leave it semi-stock, but I doubt it , I'd have to do something to make it mine.

Admit it Steve, at some point you've asked yourself. "what can I do the the Yaris to make it different?"

I don't plan on doing much but that hasn't stopped me from thinking about what I want to do. Heres the short list.

1. lower it. I already have some front springs from an s10 and rear springs from a camaro that will lower it 1 inch.
2. repaint it.
3. Diffrent rear gear. I wish it had a little more pep off the line.
4. Remove that smog crap and install an edelbrock intake and carb which I already have.
6. I also have a turbo laying around that would give it a lot more pep.
7. I would like to replace the exsauste with some thing that is a little louder and meaner sounding.
8. I definitly want to change the grill out I hate the stock grill
9. I need to replace the radio.
10. I would like to replace the gauges with some digital ones.
11. Add a flame thrower.

Now this is just my short list of what I would like to do. But like I said I don't want to do that much.

Doug the it doesn't currently have heat but I think its just the blower that not working.

To me right now, it doesn't matter if it's a Ford, Chevy, whatever, as long as it's got heat. I'm tired of freezing!

Yea it was kind a disappointment when I relized that the heater blower wasn't working but I hope it won't be that hard to fix. Do you have any guesses on whats wrong with yours.

Yeah, it has to be the heater core. I've replaced everything else. I got a new one laying in the back seat but it doesn't seem to work that well back there. (LOL) I picked up a new one the other week but Jeff and I opted to get the clutch disc fior his '37 and deliver his '92 to the new owner instead of doing a little work. After that I got pretty sick and now you know the rest of the story.........

Check the relay mounted between the evap and blower on the heater box housing first their known to go bad. and not let the blower work.

you are right Bailey.. I would change some things. I couldn't help myself. I would limit what I did though if it was my daily. I wouldn't want to be stuck without a car while I did something crazy to it.
I would toss on a set of 'vette rallies on the rear and my after market 3 1/2 rallies on the front with flat caps, tint the windows black and toss on a set of Flowmasters.

and I hate to say it but yes I've been thinking about fooling with the Yaris. bad this is that it's Amy's and she doesn't like sploilers and such so I think she's stuck with a stocker till she gets bored with it. I told her I was taking the Toyo and Yaris emblems off the hatch to smooth it out and she went nuts on me.. lol I may get out the heat gun and peel 'em off without her knowing... tongue

You can't tint the windows very much up here in God's country. Big Brother passed a law so they can see you at all times. Also there are noise laws on the books too. I always have to be real careful with the Merc in the city. They still got a bumper height law also if they want to enforce it. It wasn't too long ago that we got rid of the E-check but I expect something worse to take it's place. Sorta take some of the fun out but sure adds to the excitment if you mack the changes and get nailed.
