Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
Nope. I have a ton of stuff going on and trying to figure out what to do with all these cars. If I can get some stuff done or at least bought then it's less I have to worry about when I start moving.Arieldouglas wrote:Puttin' off movin' for another year?

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
I didn't think the 'Bird would come out untill late April. Every time I'd go to the property and open the barn I'd get a little bent. Dust covers her while the wild cats that roam the property has found a hole to get in the barn. Scratch marks where they have been climbing all over doesn't sit well with me even though it needs plenty of body work and paint. I moved some stuff around and the 454 roared for the first time in months. I'm going to get the wheels on it so I can drive it around from time to time or at least go do some burnout in front of Joey's house. lol

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
My dog use to take care of them but he's been gone for many years.
We got a big white pooch to try to take his place but he was too goofy for his own good.

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
Man, I see that old Chevy setting there in the last pic. That's the one you need to get going. Four doors and room for everybody. Don't look like it'd take much. Put the motor in, some 3" exhaust extensions, extra spark plugs, manual choke and you too could be a star! You don't have to worry about hurting the motor, those small Chevys are thow aways any how!

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
The motor I had for it is now going in the 54 truck when I get time. So I need to find another SBC and trans.

Now, now! You don't want to get me in trouble again do you?
You know that those slug SBC's are like elbows, everybodies got one. That's why there're so cheap and easy to find. It's times like these that I miss the old Dog. he was blue to his soul!
And now back to the regularly scheduled program.

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
I'm not sure Doug knows about Dog selling his car to one of the CCC boys. As Riggs said he's still has feeling for us or at least the shirt is comfy

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
I haven't been this upset since they took Charlie's Angels off the tv. I don't know what I was thinking buying these friggin' big wheels. I just tried to mount one tire by hand just to see if I needed to do any fab work to the inner fenders. This is the only tire I have NOT been able to mount by hand. I have been doing it this way since I was 14 years old. I have did 100's of tires by hand. After 45 minutes + I gave up. It's hard for me to get beat by my own hands but I did it this time. I guess I'll have to go to the tire shop and pay some snot nosed kid, too much money and have him use the tire machine.

If I don't get over my tizzy I may pitch them out the front door in the garbage can and order me a set of 15X8" Welds....I'm still ticked off. Friggin' DONK RIMS

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
I dropped two of them off at Tire Discounters. I was worried about some hole in the wall place scratching them of worse. 2 tires mounted and balanced out the door was $60.00 and that's with a discount He told me they normally charge 40 bucks a wheel for aftermarkets. I guess I'm a cheapskate cause that sounds like robbery to me.
