Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
I was following Steve home from a cruse in last night. Still sounds great closed. But it really rumbles when he opens the exhaust up! He didn't even push it going under the freeway but it more than shook everything.

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
wonder if you could rig up something that when you go wide open throttle it opens the cut outs?
i know in the EFI cars there is a way .. but gotta be something you could rig up with a NOS throttle switch

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
You could make a bracket and run two micro switches. One would have to touch at WOT and the other at idle. It takes about 3 seconds for the dumps to open all the way up. It's a neat idea. Id still have to have a regular switch hooked up too. I like to idle through town opened up at times.

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
After thinking about it I'm not sure about the idea. If the switch was on at WOT or idle it would be turning the motor to move the flap. It would burn up the dump up sooner or later. There is a way. I'll have to give this one some thought.

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
This ol' car has been around a while and the engine has been built for a few yearsnow. I had her put up for a few months but for some reason just had the urge to go fast. I went out to the property and uncovered her. Tossed a battery in her and second crank she came to life. I don't normally rip the street up anymore but something about from a dead stop to 3rd gear just sinking you into the seats and giving your belly butterflies turns me on. I'm not sure what the Honda thought when I zipped by it at about 110 but who cares.

Re: Broken Wing Project. The 'Bird
THERE WAS A HONDA RUNNING IN SUPER STOCK LAST WEEKEND AT INDIANAPOLIS. I FIRST SAW IT GOING UP THE STAGING LANES AND NOT MAKING MUCH NOISE. THE PART THAT CAUGHT MY EYE WAS THE PARACHUTE HANGING ON THE BACK BUMPER. THE HEMI CARS DON'T EVEN HAVE THEM. I SAW HIM MAKE A RUN LATER ON THAT DAY.......7.91 @ WELL OVER 175 mph. NOT TOO BAD FOR A LITTLE 4 CYLINDER. I THINK HE LASTED ABOUT 3 ROUNDS BEFORE HE HAD SOME TROUBLE. IT WAS FUN WATCHING HIM SPOT THE HEMI CUDAS ABOUT A SECOND AND RUN THEM DOWN.
