did it sit that low the last time I seen it? may have been because it was stuck in the garage. have you had it out and opened it up yet?

Re: Scroungers C.C. 1964 Falcon Drag Car
No, last time you saw her, she was on stock suspension. Now shes on coilovers. She can go lower. But where its at now makes it handle like a dream. Well, i have opened her up alittle. She did a 1/4 mile at 14.32 pushing 8 psi, but i can crank up the boost to the mid 20's range and pull better numbers. Ive got the boost lowered to make it more street(Snow) friendly just for the cold winter. The motor doesnt like to push large psi nubmers with it being this cold right now. When it warms up, ill really see what she can do.
And i cant wait for more updates on the Falcon. Good luck guys. keep up the awsome work

Re: Scroungers C.C. 1964 Falcon Drag Car
I have been doing some thinking that it will be a long time before I will use that extra 460/C-6 so if you want to change directions I will donate it to the cause,a free 460/C-6 is alot better then a sbc/350 that has to be built and cost money so if you are interested let me know while I am feeling generous. I need to get that wagon out of my driveway and if I can find a home for the motor I can call the guy that wants the wagon and have him get it out of here. Jeff

That might some people happy. A Ford in a Ford. This bickering back and forth about Ford and Chevrolet might stop. Well actually it wont. But that 460/C6 combo would look down in the Falcon. Lets jump on this offer before he changes his mind I can take someone up there and we can pick it up in my truck. Let me know guys.

Re: Scroungers C.C. 1964 Falcon Drag Car
All I ask is to help me pull it and I have a truck that can handle hauling it down there,if I am going to bring a 40 home I need to get rid of the wagon in the driveway and I would like to see that motor used since its only been sitting around here for over 4 years. All the motor needs is a good carb and starter, the starter will barely start the motor and the carb is a spreadbore so I think a quadrajunk will bolt on,all I have to do is put a battery in the car and you can here it run. TC there are going to be a lot of guys driving the gasser that it will be the first time on the track for them. we have to break them in with a Ford and next year toss in the chevy when they can handle more horsepowertc fairlane wrote:It's about time you got smart and used a ford motor in the falcon. Okay Reb you know i cant let this go Your probably right about some things but about blue horsepower you got that All wrong its the other way around with a stock 460 the guys will have a tough time keep-in the wheels from breaking loose something you Chebby guys know nothing about cause you never experienced it Thats why their First On Race Day!!! STAYING TRUE TO THE BLUE Hope we have plenty of baby wipes after the Chebby boys run they may need to freshen up.

We as a group could sell all our blood and still not afford valve covers for a HEMI..lol
Re: Scroungers C.C. 1964 Falcon Drag Car

Re: Scroungers C.C. 1964 Falcon Drag Car
Next saturday will be a good time to pull the motor,I am also going to throw in a mallory unilte distributor that is on the 460 that will be goiing in my 66 F250. It does not have a vacumn advance so I will be putting in a factory duraspark, the unilite might need some repair as sometimes the motor would just shut off but would restart but I dont know if it was how it was wired up or a bad ignition switch in the donor truck.
