Re: 1968 Ford Truck, Cledus
Not much work on Cledus but a little tinkering now and then. I did manage to scrape off the WEBN Sticker.
I replaced it with a smaller and more desirable decal.
I also took the Comet to it. This is something I do a lot on these old cars/trucks. It cleans up the common dirt plus it cuts away at any scum, light rust and haze from oxidation the body may have. It helps later in the process of bodywork too. You can sand anything but sometimes that sludge is just being pushed around on the body unless you get crazy and sand to bare metal.

Sorry I thought I had a shot of it in the cab. When I go to the other house I'll grab the camera.

I was wondering if you got that installed. I think that it's a neat setup.

What is a source for that set up? I'm thinking of claiming storage on Brittney's '67. That would be a cool way to get the tunes without butchering the dash.

I got that from LMC truck. It isn't cheap for what it is but you don't have to hack the dash and most people that look inside of your truck would never know that it is there.Arieldouglas wrote:What is a source for that set up?

What is funny is I get in Amy Toyota and reach up in the roof to turn the radio down. I have done it a few times.

Re: 1968 Ford Truck, Cledus
Since the white Chevy blew up I been using Cledus for a work truck. So far it's doing it's job.
All these are from mom and dad new place I'm working on.
Brush from the tree line.
Leaves from the back yard.
One of many trips to Lowe's.
Hedges that were in front of the house. I hate box hedges.
The old Ford has hauled more truck loads of trash from the rehab than I can count.

Re: 1968 Ford Truck, Cledus
I bet it's a pegleg. You can still find those around with a limited slip to stick in there. Makes a world of difference when you get off the road.
Yep gets you just far enough out when you get stuck, you're screwed.

It is. I thought it had a posi at first. I let it rip one time and it left 2 very short black marks. I guess it just got lucky.Arieldouglas wrote:I bet it's a pegleg.

Re: 1968 Ford Truck, Cledus
I like the ol' truck but it's not what I want in a shop truck. There are big plans for this rig. It will be done in stages and over time.
What I want is a shop truck I can drive daily! Something that is dependable and easy to get parts for in case of a break down.
Part pro touring and will handle like it's on rails and be able to do 130 MPH without stressing the engine for several 100 miles if I want to do it.
Part custom to showcase my metal work and most important it's a truck.
IT HAS TO BE ABLE TOW STUFF & TO HAUL STUFF IN THE BED!

Re: 1968 Ford Truck, Cledus
The truck will be in the weeds. Low! It may get lower in stages but by the time it's all said and done it will be ripping the heads off any rodents in the road that are taller than 2 1/2 inches hi.
