Re: 1968 Ford Truck, Cledus
It didn't look too bad but it bent the frame bad. The bumper pushed the frame back. It kinked it in front of the cross member. That spot took the grunt of the hit but it even pushed the front cab mount back 1/4 inch behind the cross member.

Re: 1968 Ford Truck, Cledus
I did a ton of measuring and eyeballing, more than I should have. I can loosen the front cab mount and fix it easy. The rest is junk so the front frame will be cut off and a 2nd Gen Z-28 front frame will be welded in.
I was hoping to get more of the right frame horn so I can weld it to the front of the Z-28 clip but there wasn't much there. I'm hoping it is enough. It makes it easier when you mount the core support back to the Z frame.
Those two spots on the top and bottom are suppose to be straight.

I was trying to have a little fun before I ripped it apart. The thing is so light that it will smoke the hides off at half pedal on the driveway. In the grass it won't hardly move.

I'm not sure. I may use it in the Ford. If not you can try it.

You gonna' use the front frame clip? That ole Twin I Beam works good for a truck but there's not much you can do to lower it very far.

Re: 1968 Ford Truck, Cledus
When I was little, dad had a red and white 68 Ford. Ive been working on a guy here in town trying to buy his 70 F100. Been sitting for about five years due to bad brakes, but had a fairly fresh rebuild on a warmed up 400. Love them bumpside Fords!
