I couldn't find a another photo that went along with this one so I don't know what the little Ford hit but it was enough of an impact to rip the engine out and deposit it on the other side of the street.

This guy must have gone out to buy some chicken for the family and on his
way back he got in to this accident. I say this because if you look closely
you'll see tin foil and a lot of fried chicken on the floor spilling out onto
the ground.

with a 1948 Plymouth in Fresno, California, in 1964 #1

This is the other vehicle involved in the accident between the 1955 Buick before hitting this pole in Fresno, California, in 1964 according to witnesses this vehicle bounced off the '55 Buick before hitting this pole.

Maybe the driver of the '55 Buick couldn't wait to get home
to eat, so he was digging in the box of chicken looking for a succulent breast and ran a red light causing the accident.
