Re: Vintage Accidents
Truck - W.A. Stackpole Express
I didn't see any additional photos relating to this accident except the
next one so I don't what he hit or what hit him.

Truck - W.A. Stackpole Express #2
This is the truck box so what ever caused this accident went over the
cab and hit the box ripping it off the truck.

Re: Vintage Accidents
Two car collision, 1952 #1
Here's one I don't understand, how can the vehicle on the left hit the
vehicle on the right in the roof. Was the vehicle on the right already
on it's side?

Re: Vintage Accidents
Here's the other pic to go along with the first one.
Do you think the car that's on it's side contributed to the accident
because of the four bald tires.
And what seems to be so important in the back seat of the one car?

Small Truck slams into Tanker Truck, Kills driver, 1938
This is way before the D.O.T. (Dept. of Transportation) required big rigs
to have what we call DOT bumpers installed on all trailers of every kind.

Re: Vintage Accidents
1950 Chevy & an Olds 88, 1954
Look at the tires on the Chevy, yeah that's right. Bald. Were tires really
expensive in the '50's or did people just not care about their safety
or the safety of others?
