Anyone recognize this car? I thought it might be a 50ish Buick by the looks of the grille.

Can you really imagine how hard these had to hit to cause this damage? I'd like to see one of these vs. a modern car at the same speeds.

Interesting. I agree the driver of the newer car would have fared better. Although I'm not entirely sure this test was on the up and up. I'd like to see another test not sponsored by the Insurance lobby.

I just wanted to see the auto carnage of old over new. Why so you think the SUV's win over the smaller cars, same reasons.

I am a firm believer in this. The other guys on here know but my daughter was in a wreck a few months ago and if she had been in a little car instead of her F-150, the outcome could have been trajic. Sad

I was unaware of your daughters accident, I'm glad it wasn't tragic. My son is a new driver and I'm struggling with what he should drive as well. I'm tempted to stick him in my dually.

Bigger the better. My daughter was totally innocent but that wouldn't have changed the outcome if my wife and I had put her in a small car. She IS a good driver but it takes years of driving to really develop the defensive skill to survive on the roads today.
