ECTA update
Some where I saw they needed volunteers. Weather being what is can be, I'm interested. Would you be cruising as a group? If so, from where?

Re: Time runs at the old airport??
Most of the guys that are going are close to there or even north of there I think. I may run up there but not sure if anyone else from Ky is going. I'm just playing it by ear at this time.

Re: Time runs at the old airport??
I sent an email and ask if it was okay to put up a canopy and the price to get in just to watch. This was his reply for whoever is interested.

I been on the fence and I guess most of you have too. I wasn't too sure about going and was hoping to get a big group to go out. I think I'm going to sit this one out. The weather will be cold and no one is sure what they are going to do. I'm wanting to go but I think I'll wait for the next one. Hopefully by then some of the guys will be more interested in going.

So $10 is a deal breaker for you? What would you expect it to cost for a day?

Re: Time runs at the old airport??
I'm a poor mofoger and I'm lucky I can afford beef jerky for dinner. I'm on the fence trying to pay for other shit and the daughter got hitched and that was a load that I had to deal with. The price is right for the event and I really want to go but as it stands I have no idea if I can make it. As a lot of people have said " family and fiends come first". Damn I'm one long winded som beech. Hope to to you all soon.

Just making a joke (apparently not a good one) about "puddin head" being "on the fence".....
don't see anybody saying the cost of admission would be a deal breaker because it was unreasonable.

Re: Time runs at the old airport??
The email I got back from them was the turning page for me. He never said 10 only the $15. While even 15 bucks is not a bad deal for that and well worth it but as Terry said some have other obligations. Even at 10 bucks for a family of 5 is $50.00. Toss in $30.00 for gas there and back and then lunch for 5 and I'm in it for almost $100.00. I'm not knocking anyone for going or not going just money to me is tight right now. I will be going but I can't make this one. Just have other irons in the fire. A new air compressor is on the list of have to haves since mine took a dump.
I'm not preaching just smiling and explaining.
