This shop was neat. It even had an out house in the store. You opened the door and behind it was a regular restroom.


The wall paper were prints of old newspaper.

We moved on down to the center of town.

I found the Kings chair. It was perfect. Then Amy made me get up.

I have no idea what you would catch in a trap that size and I don't think I'd want to find out.

This electric chair gave me the creeps. I'm not sure if it was real or not but it looked old and had the markings on the wood like it was well used at one time. I looked over this thing and if it's not real it still gives you the willies thinking about it. I tried to get Amy and Sami to sit in it and there was no way that was going to happen. I did get Sami to touch it . When she did I goosed her side and scared the crap out of her.

Looking at the inside of the helmet gave me the creeps. The wood, springs, wire and everything other than the straps look pretty old.

I have been all over the place. I'd have to say that this trip had more hi dollar virgin antiques than any other state I been in. What do I mean by that? Old stuff that some schmuck hasn't tried to clean up or touch up to make it sell. I don't know why people take stuff that is over 100 years old and spray 99 cent spray paint on it to try to make it look better. If you are not a restorer then DON'T TOUCH IT PLEASE!

Most of the stuff we seen that was worth big money was tucked in with other cheaper stuff. Meaning they don't know the value or the location of the town is so unknown that dealers don't know it's there. There were a few things I would have loved to bring back with me but didn't have the room.

Asian wedding bed. It was coming apart but was really cool piece.

This dog had it good. The sign in the window was a picture of him in his bed and it said I love my bed.

One of the shops looked to be an old garage that was converted to a store. I ask the lady about it and she was telling me a fire had taken out almost the whole one side of that block years and years ago. Some they chopped off a few floors upstairs where they couldn't be saves turning then into 1 or 2 stories and other places where saved by the town keeping the stone and brick work alone and rebuilding inside of it. It's nice to see a town do that since most places would just run a wrecking ball through them and rebuild.

I did find a pristine Ted Nugent record and brought it back with me.

I was a little worried about some of the 3rd floors we were in. I thought I fell through a couple of times.

All these car pics were taken within a half hour. Everyone always ask me how I find these old cars. While none of these are the well sought after money cars they are cool cruisers. If you want a project you have to dig. Go down the back roads. If you see a dead end don't turn around. Go down there and see what's down there. Drive through alley's and places no one else looks like they go often. Get off the main road and take the back streets. I didn't stop and ask about any cars but that is how I normally do it. Stop and ask if it's for sale. Most of the time you can make a deal.
