Or if you want to keep the training wheels on there is a guy on the HAMB selling a stock '56 324 4BBL intake. He's asking $75 but it's been for sale over a month and probably isn't gonna be a hot seller. I'm sure he could be beaten down on price. Here's a link -

Not to hijack the thread but I found your car Benny and put it back on your avatar. It was knocked off when our server screwed up a long time ago. It fits better.

That is a pic from Ross Racing in Niles Ohio. Good guy. Builds these early Rocket motors.

I'd even love to find a J-2 setup and modify the intake to work on my motor (common mod). But that will be a few years when I do a full rebuild.

Ask Steve, the 324 with the 2bbl (that isn't very healthy) can make that more door get up and move.

Starks does have a 54 and a 55 in the back lot along with a few motors laying around,I would stay away from the motors laying on the ground since there is a chance they got plenty of water in them and I think the 54 and 55 still have the hoods on them. If you cant find a good manifold at Starks there is some at Modoc.

Rt 27 north of Richmond around 15 miles and west on rt 36 for 10 miles and you are there,you can also stay on 70 past Richmond and then north on Rt 1 until it runs into 36 and head east for about a mile.

No intakes at Modoc?,there are a few 54 and 55s there.

There were a few cars there. A couple of them had nothing under the hood. The othe ones only had a 2bbl.
