i must have this in my garage....
rather or not if i have any tools at all right now the one thing i need the most is:
lights. one time reb came over and it was 2 bright for him he wanted a few lights turned off, i like it bright that way i can see..... maybe next time he should come wearing shades. lol
i gotta have a radio to keep me company
besides a typical good set of hand tools what is a must that u other scroungers or lurkers have to have in your garage.
i think ima need a cot to since im so slow at worken on my project. ha ha ...

I used his the other night playing with his tunnel in his truck. It's a nice welder. I'm not sure what brand it is. I just know how bad mine is after using his.

Old cardboard boxes are a must! I hate attempting to get oil, grease, gas, antifreeze, etc. off the garage floor.

That Hobart 140 is the welder my brother has and the wire feed has been screwed up from the get go. When it feeds correctly it is a good machine, but when it starts jerking the wire around you just want to set a stick of TNT under it and yell FIRE IN THE HOLE!

Sounds like a kink in the liner...

Didn't know there was such a thing. You caused me to start researching. You may be right. Discovered there are two sizes of liner. Maybe we've been trying to run large diameter wire through a small liner. Maybe we've been running the wire in the wrong groove too. Next time I'm over at his house messing around I'm gonna have to check it out.
Just another pitfall of being a novice at something.

I was going to be a wise a$$ and say operator error...or you have to be smarter than the equipment your trying to run...but then I remembered I'm not real smart, glass houses/stones that kinda thing....

I try not to burden myself with things I absolutely don't have to know.
The darn thing worked well enough for me to do the limited welding I had to do, but it made my marginal welds even more so.
