Buying Made in the USA Empty Buying Made in the USA

So, today I went to WalMart to buy some windshield wiper blades made in the USA. They didn't have any. Everything was made in China, Korea, and Mexico. I didn't buy any.

Came home and searched the net for blades made in the US. Supposedly, Max-Vision wiper blades are made in the USA. Did a search and found them at www.idealtruevalue.com . Just did a search at the top of the page for 24" wiper blade. Less than $5 each. I bought sets for all of our cars. Ended up costing way less than buying the foreign crap at WM.

Hope it's correct that US workers are making them. I'm sick of buying foreign, especially Chinese.

Yeah hard to find US ones. The last pair I bought at a parts store were Bosch, which were made in Belgium. Not the happiest about it, but at least they aren't a 3rd world enemy...

If you get up north anytime check out "The All American Store". We have two of them in the Dayton area, and the owners are discussing opening a third. It is a hardware/general store type operation that sells only good made in the USA by American workers. It is a great place to shop, and they offer a 10% discount to ALL military veterans (not just active duty). I buy lots there and support them whenever I can. Here's a link to an article about them -

That's cool!
I wish I had a pcture of the sign on the store down in Dayton, Ky on Rt 8. Big letters AMERICAN OWNED! Under the name of the store.
I think it may be the only little corner store that is not owned by Habibie.

The info was wrong. They are not made in the USA. They are made in China. There is apparently not a windshield wiper still produced in the US.

It's disturbing. With all of the cars on the road in this country and all of the windshield wipers consumed here, it's not reasonable that some company cannot manufacture them here and put a few good folks to work.

I got a good laugh last night. My son needed to go look at a few new cars at a Chevy dealership for a school project, and the sales lady said: "The good thing about GM products is that they're made right here in the US."

If it were only true. What a douche!

I had to put a new water heater in last week....bought a kenmoor from sears...got it installed and when i tried to light the pilot it wouldnt stay lit....messed with it for about an hr with no luck....Talked to Steve Vickers and he said to replace the thermo coupler....even though the heater was brand new i put a new thermo coupler on and it lit up the first time and been no problems....Turns out the heaters are made by someone else for sears and they put Kenmoor name on it.....so much for American made stuff huh....

I think every Kenmore product is manufactured by someone other than sears. Frigidaire made a lot of their appliances.

Sears does still manufacture Craftsman tools and tool boxes in the US, or at least all that manufacturer does is make Craftsman tools & boxes.
