I'm going in the wagon. Signed up to be a push car for the cacklefest but not sure if I'll be used. Recieved an email saying they had a couple too many. I'm only 35 miles away.

Man, I so wanted to go to this again this year but there's some financial interference at home. I still haven't given up but it looks pretty bleak. That is so much fun but I think a new heating system in the house is going to take precedence. Get some good pictures Junky.

Re: Hot Rod Reunion Anyone?
Just got back due to other commits. It is freeking great. The racing is unbelievable. There was Hemi underglass doing full track wheelies as well as Superwinch. Top fuel FED dragsters, funny cars and altereds. I hadn't been to the strip in 30 years and I love the ringing in my ears and the shaking through my bones. You all have to go there. Swap meet, car show and some of the best racing old school you could ever want. Can anyone tell I had a good time, and I'm a rookie for this event? Enough, I need some rest.

Didn't get to be a push car. The main guy had a few too many. I still had fun. Don't remember if they showed up or not. They had 40 cars in the cacklefest.

Re: Hot Rod Reunion Anyone?
I'm going to do my damnest to get down there next year. I really didn't have a car to enter and my daughter has been working six days a week for money to pay next year's tuition. I really didn't want to go it alone but from what I've seen I made a big mistake. I know a bunch of people that were there, don't know why I wussed out. I kept hopping that the fellows from out west with the Hemi car were going to make the tow but they opted not to go. I've missed the last two years and that's about enough. Went down there every year in the 70's for the old Sportsnationals. It was by far the best race on the NHRA trail back then. The facility isn't the biggest or the most modern, it's just the best, specially for something like the HHR.

Re: Hot Rod Reunion Anyone?
Dog...I didn't know you were going too. Man, just too many people I know went down there, had a good time and enjoyed the weather. Did you see Carlos down there? I think he went also. He had pictures of that old Blue and white Ford sitting around posted on Facebook. You think ya might go next time? Haven't seen ya in forever.
If ya took any pictures post them up. Be nice to see some pics from a really cool event.
