1976 Chevy truck Empty 1976 Chevy truck

Post by junkyard junky January 1st 2013, 4:52 am

76 chevy half ton long bed truck. 86,660 original miles. Runs good and doesn't smoke. Transmission shifts fine. It takes an extra second for it to go into reverse. A guy I use to work with needed money so he sold me the truck. He bought the truck from a coworker's father after he had a bad stgroke a while back. The truck had been sitting until recently. The previous owner did some work on it and drove it over 700 miles since buying it. It has two aluminum wheels. One is mounted and the other is in the bed. Floor pan and cab mounts are solid. 350v8 with a 3 barrell carb. Rust at the bottom of the front fenders, wheel wells and rockers. Tires are not the best.Waiting on the paper work to get back from the state. $1000. Located in Glasgow,ky.

I had one last years in a parts truck. Told a friend to come and get it because he needed it. Too lazy to do so. He went to the crusher. I'm needing a sbc but I have to junk a running and driving truck.

Looks like I might be pulling the engine and putting it in either my ford coupe or sedan. Might part it out.

I'm not 100 percent sure on pulling the engine yet. I hate to. It has some rust but would be good for a farm truck.

I was thinking about using the engine and trans out of this in a project but solid the car. $1200. I need to get rid of it. Hate to see it just sit.

This sucks! Janet's transmission goes out and I find two vehicles, reasonably priced, on my bucket list!

Junked the truck but I still have the cab. Doesn't have a lot of rust like most of them do. Asking $250 for the cab. has the seat and steering column.
