How many of you recommend this show? I'm going through DT's without having any shows to attend!
Might look into going to this one!

I went for the very first time last year and I thought it was good but not great. If you've never done it definitely go and make your own opinion of it. I will say eat ahead of time as the food, while not bad at all, is pricy!

How would it compare to Carl Casper's Auto Show in Louisville? I go to that every year, even though I say I'm not! ha ha

Very Happy

The show in Cincy is okay. I'm not a big fan but I have never been a fan of cookie cutter car shows. Seems like they are all the same to me. They do have a spot in the back that makes it worth the time. It has some traditional hot rods and some jalopies that are really cool. More of what I like. last time I went I drove over with some friends. They were having a blast and I was bored to death. I walked out and started walking for Ky. A couple club members seen me walking across the bridge and picked me up. If I can kick back, drink a soda and relax when I done looking I'm fine but I can't walk around 10 times looking at the same cars all day. It's just not in me.

I had 18 on there for years. I would meet people and they would find out who I am and they would look at me funny. They all thought I was 18 years old cause of the forum. They would say you are not 18, you are old. So I figured if I would put 92 years old on the forum then when they seen me they would say you are not 92 you are young! That would make me feel better. I'm with you, Steve. Once I am done looking I'm done especially at 'cookie-cutter' shows. I enjoy talking to the owners and gettin' the lowdown on their rides. I will say that it was worth it just to see the Anglia and the two push wagons for the dragsters there last year. I'm not much of a die-hard rod guy but Anglia's are my exception. I can stare at 'em all day and I would kill to have one.

Don't forget you can get discount tickets at KOI stores. Smile
I think the show is ok.... in reality the cars are too shiney for me, and lately it seems to be the same ones year after year. I believe in driving hot rods what good do they do you in a garage all year? I like survivor alley the rats and gassers are much more my style... they to me have more to look at . more imagination goes into them. Just saying. I agree...cars are made to be driven!

Okay, will do, Heather. I'm not sure but I may see if the missus wants to go this year (I went with a couple of friends last year).

A crew from down this way is planning for the trip. Just to watch Gene Winfield work again. Plus Mike Wagner is going to be lending him a hand so that makes it cooler.

First thing you have to understand is that if it was completely car guy oriented, they would make no money at all. The goofy reality and wrestling stars are what brings the common people (mouth breathers) through the door at $15 a head. They may walk through the car show but just to kill time till they can take their snot gobblers and get in line to see whoever the Discovery/A&E channel has told them is a star this month.
