Re: looking for a 1/4 mile body
Would be a hell of a cheap start, 9" does it have a stump , did'nt see it mentioned... 10 years earlier would be awesome but you gotta start some where...Just a honest question does it trip your trigger to say yhea I wanna work on that as a club racer or is it a I don't really have any intrest in working on that truck????Just a question as this is a group project and everyones input is very important....Don't hang me for this!
Re: looking for a 1/4 mile body
looks a like a very good start to me. i think it would be kewl black with some flames going down it. i think i got the licks down now. man if only stewart would give me his secrets, boy can he lay down some flames. oops did i spill the beans. lol....

Re: looking for a 1/4 mile body
Flames are my fav as well.... Love laying out..just curious if everyone else would have the same umph to work on it, or more pumped if it was a little older.... So those who are interested in doing this what style car is the club shooting for?????
Re: looking for a 1/4 mile body
i may be wrong but I think most of them just want to go down the track. lol. it's a little new for my liking but it does have a good start to it. could be made to look a little wicked with some work. I just seen it and thought I'd toss it out there. we still have plenty of time for the right project. I think it will fall into out lap when we least expect it to. unless you guys like this one. if so I will put in a bid on this one.

Re: looking for a 1/4 mile body
There are lots of plus's...Line lock, rolll bar nine inch housing, ladder bars and such.....What does everyone in the club think....maybe start a poll and see what happens....Any idea on what that old chevy is selling for up the alley and do you wanna head to Cincy to look at that Apache...I'll be heading to Buttermilk Pike at 10:30am can go straight to the truck if you have time.....
Re: looking for a 1/4 mile body

one thing I want everyone to know that gets involved with the 1/4 mile car is???:
[color=blue]1. the car will belong to the club.

One thing you'll want to be very careful of is the liability problems. Being a dues paying (or donations) type organization you'll want to check into this. I know that it's all friends but if /when something happens and someone gets hurt, there could problems. John B. many be able to shed some light on this. I know your all moving at the speed of light towards a common goal but you may want to slow down and check into this one.

Re: looking for a 1/4 mile body
Well put. I seem to remember a club that had a common drag car, and in order to drive it you signed a waiver giving up all rights of liability, same as when you pay to enter Edgewater as a Spectator or a racer thats why you sign that paper when you enter thru the gates.....Read the fine print there one time it will scare the hell out of you almost to the point of never going back., or buy a ticket to Great American Ball park you get hit by a Hardball or broken bat flying at mach speed its on your dime, you assume all responsability when you walk thru the gates....But It is a situation that needs to be addressed...When I was riding my HArley my health insurance had a section saying that if you got hurt on your bike and was not wearing a helmet you were not covered... Not sure of the legalities but thats how they did it.....Something to look into!
Re: looking for a 1/4 mile body
I figured we could paint a liability waver on the hood and have everone sign it that has anything to do with it. if that doesn't work we can fix some heavy shoes so they can go swimming in the licking river
