I've purchased a unmolested survivor a ss 396/powerglide and want to get a oem fuel pump if possible as this car is totally original right down to having the service book in the glove box complete with protecto plate inside the back cover.I've never had anything to do with BB's before and don't seem able to find a fuel pump on the net for a 65 are they different from the later models
cheers Bill

AC Delco part # EH40193 . It's discontinued and no pickup part number through AC Delco to replace the looks of original. You will have to go with something that doesn't look like the stocker or try to beat the bush for an NOS sitting on someone's shelf. You may cross reference the 454 close to that year. Sometime they did weird stuff and same pumps would have different part numbers but would look the same. Anything listed today will work but it may not look like it should. Again it should be an AC Delco unit though that it came with.

Someone else may be able to help more but that's my source. I'm not 100% sure on it.

I have had luck getting OEM parts on the Chevy Big Block page that is on Facebook. Good Luck, now you have the stock number that is a huge help.

May just have to get the replacement unit that is readily available now and search for an OEM unit. Im sure that you will be able to locate one somewhere.
