Old truck I built a few years ago
I was building this truck while working on several other projects, 68 C10, 72 Chevelle, 64 C10 and this 52 AD. I got it about 75% complete and let it go to a new home to be finished.
This truck was my first full frame off build and I done 99% of the work by myself. Alot of mornings after pulling a 12hr shift in the Mill, I would come home and spend a couple hours cutting and welding.
Good times for sure. Some of the best times to be had is building your own ride or helping a friend build one.
Here is what I started with.
Decided to cut 3" out of it.
Picked up a new frame..
So I cut it up
Did some work on the rear also.
Added some heavy fish plates to the front.
Got a donor engine.. Cadillac 425 out of a 77 Deville
Had to make her purty..
After most of the frame was done. Still working on the rear part.
Started to do this but realized that the shocks would be useless..
It did look cool though..
Working on the dash
making a bed..
Had these old tanks for fuel tanks..
Found a front cap for it.
THis is where I stopped at, a guy from Mississippi talked me out of it. So I let it go..
I do hate that I let it go unfinished, but I am sure it would still be here had it been finished. It was a fun project with alot of hours plugging away on it. I plan on building a 50 2 door Chevy soon as I can find and buy one. Oh and after I get my 64 C10 mostly done. Thanks for looking.
