You planning on keeping it a 6 cyl? A lot of those old Chevys that guys fixed up were split sixes. I remember one that ran some type of small motorcycle mufflers. When he started to wind that thing up, it would really talk. It was a lot neater that the $hit can mufflers the kids have on thier Hondas today. If you're going to make it like they were years ago you'll have to paint a name on it. All the cool cars had names!

I guess I have a twisted view on this car. It can't be Mary Beth or some other girls name. It's rough, twisted and just a little spooky. If I put a name on it will read Dead Sled...

Yep people used to make skirts out of lots of different roof skins, because the already had a bow to them.

I have already been playing. With the wheels moved back it left more room for the skirts to go down. I taped off to the lowest point where it didn't rub the wheel. When I change over to regular steel rims I should be able to get an extra 1 1/2 back spacing for even more room. I want the skirts all the way down on this one.

The tape is not to true to form but just to see what it would look like. The back bumper will be about 3" lower too. with the skirts you should just a tad bit of the metal rim in the back.

Steve your gona think im nuts now i was just looking at the top of a quarter on a 60 pont. bonnie and i thought you could cut it off almost to the rear window and graft the right side to the left quarter and left to the right side if you want some wild taillight and body contor with it tho:twisted: se spears that come back to the light would be cool

I had to look up a picture. I couldn't remember what they looked like. Sure be able to see the lights that high.  

Not sure if you were talking about this but flipping them sideways so the lights are on top of each other would be wild.

You could do the same thing with a 60 olds lights also!!

You should ask belair57 to hook you up with a cool set of tail lights from one of those Holdens or something from over there.

There's a pair of lights in the bumper gaurds of an old Mercedes or something like that out at Stark's. They're really neat and I don't know how many times I've said to Jeff that they should be used on something. They're small and not too rusty with good lenses. They can't be 2 inches square. I just thought of them after looking at Chris's contribution to this excessively long line of questionable entries made by people who know a lot about nothing that is exceded only by their sense of poor taste. (How about that for a bunch of nonsense)

I'd like to get a cross flow head thru old Belair57. That'd bring my old white Ford right to life. LOL

Hey I resemble that remark.

I see nothing wrong with what I have seen.   Some I like better than others. There are plenty of bad custom work out there. I just don't want to add to it. I'm grateful for all the feedback. Keep it coming.

Since we are shooting out ideas what do you guys like better on a tail dragger custom, scallops or flames?
