Hotrod Geo tracker?
Mom bought a new car today so my sister gets her old one and I have been given the pos tracker,I kind of want to keep it as a nasty weather beater to drive to work when I am not on the bike but there is a voice inside me saying its V8 time. For years I always said how when a guy drives one it looks so funny since they are a girly car and now I have one,if I keep this thing I need to get it more manly if that is even possible. Christena wants to get back into racing but I wonder if this it has too short of a wheelbase to make into a race car that would be safe,I will have to look it over and see if I can get it a little lower as it would probably fly with a V6 and be more stable then it is now.

There was one on CL a few weeks ago with a 350 Chevy in it. It was cut up for racing or anything. It looked stock.

Re: Hotrod Geo tracker?
I'd drive a pedal car if I had it....what's a girly car??? Pink Mary Kay Caddy...maybe....
Re: Hotrod Geo tracker?
If I decide not to drive it I think it might become a race car,I thought it would get a little scary at anything faster then 65.

Re: Hotrod Geo tracker?
I saw one at Clay City a few years ago that was running 10's. It had a roll cage in it but that was a little much for something of that wheelbase, at least for me, anyway.

Was it red?
Re: Hotrod Geo tracker?
I am thinking a 4 door version might be better for a race car since it will have more weight over the rear wheels, the one I have is a soft top and with any power the tires will go up in smoke. I think I know where I can get one cheap so I am going to look into it,its a 4x4 but might be able to convert it to 2wd easy.

Re: Hotrod Geo tracker?
Got any pics? Just curious...myself, I'd keep it as a beater/spare transportation.

Re: Hotrod Geo tracker?
I think I will just use it for a work beater, going to yank the rear seat out so I can haul stuff in it. A V8 would be tempting but I need to spend money on other projects first.

Yes, it was red. It also had the slicks sticking out of the body quite a bit, which I didn't really care for but a little more stability is not a bad thing.
