Makes me feel good.
Sometime we wake up and the day just sucks! Too much work. No sleep. NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN THE DAY TO GET DONE WHAT NEEDS TO GET DONE! No time to enjoy life. Bills through the roof. It seems like it's just easier to give up and go back to bed for a year. Trying to put a smile on my face in front of other have long gone. Today was one of those days.
Sometimes the student become the teacher and he teaches the old dog about what he's been teaching for many years. Amy ask me to look on facebook and this was on there from my boy Corey.

I just wanted to take this time and thank my parents for everything they've done for me, they taught me right from wrong and they taught me how to do things right but most of all they taught me how to be the person that you want to be and if you believe in something and you put your mind to it that you can achieve anything in your life, they are my motivation and they are my everything, but one thing my father has taught me is that even if times get rough and when life is hitting you with everything it has that its not enough to hold you down, that its not enough to make you wanna stop and not want to continue, instead when things get tough it gives you the courage and the motivation to continue and make it through it because nothing can hold you down, the belief in oneself to know that you will be successful not only in the journey of life but as a family man and as a role model, I love you Mom and Dad more than anything in the world and I wanted to thank you for everything you've done for me and everything you've taught me- Steve Stewart, Amy Stewart, Thank you....for everything.
Brings a tear to my eye. Corey has moved out and started his life. I sure miss him being around.

He never looks for praises
He's never one to boast
He just goes on quietly working
For those he loves the most
His dreams are seldom spoken
His wants are very few
And most of the time his worries
Will go unspoken too
He's there.... A firm foundation
Through all our storms of life
A sturdy hand to hold to
In times of stress and strife
A true friend we can turn to
When times are good or bad
One of our greatest blessings,
The man that we call Dad.
I love you dad.

Got a good Boy there Reb you should be proud of him as I know you are. My boy is the same way and I enjoy being around him as often as I can.

Re: Makes me feel good.
That's wonderful to read, Steve. Not only have you and Amy taught Corey the values that you both have but also the value of feelings and sharing them opening and honestly, something that to this day our society still frowns upon when it comes to men. Kudos to you!
Sincerely,
Lee

Re: Makes me feel good.
All good fathers deserve this kind of praise- wish I had the eloquence to praise my father this way before he passed years ago. He deserved every bit of praise Cory just paid you. We never had any kids, my wife and I, as I never felt I was mature enough to raise them right till a couple years ago. I sure wish now we had had a couple.
This is great.
