Wow, a Marlin? I'd ditch the chrome reverses for a set of TTs or Keystones myself. After that I'd drive the heck out of it! Marlins were around for two years so finding a complete one in good shape (especially where glass, chrome and interior parts are concerned) is paramount. Engines are a snap as parts a plenty. The underpinning are from the Matador line IIRC but I'm not 100% sure on that. Old AMC is cool!

I like it because it is unique. Never was a big fan of the styling. I like different though!

My wife's first car was a '66 Valiant. Her dad bought it off the "old lady that only drove it to church". Perfect condition, slant six, white with blue interior. She hated it when she was 17 but has been bugging me to find one for a couple of years now.

The big issue with the Marlin was that the concept car of it was far more proportionally correct-looking. And AMC did not really do much to 'hop up' the Marlin to at least make it a bit racy. I always thought this was a good contemporary to the '66-'67 Chargers. Here's a link to the Tarpon concept of which the Marlin was based off of.

It would look good parked between your Studebaker wagon and the Riviera......

I like them. That blue was for sale a few years back. I tried to talk to the guy but he must have been having a really rough day or his panties where too tight that evening. I just walked away. I think it was Riggs that was with me. Maybe not. I'm getting forgetful.. What was we talking about????

Don't ever get out of one of those cars while there running, they like to jump into reverse by themselves, I almost had both of my legs smashed by a 65 Ambassador wagon...
