Route 66 trip? Empty Route 66 trip?

I have always wanted to cruise and sight see some parts of the old route 66 hwy... Anyone done this? If so best parts to see? This is one of my top ten things to do... So I need to start planning ahead affraid

I've always wanted to do something similar. I want to take Rt 50 all the way to Cali.

We, of the Falcon Club, are starting in Chicago, on Rt 66, and driving to Tulsa, OK for the national Falcon Show next July......5 years ago, they drove from Ocean City, MD, all the way to Cali.....NFW.....

Depending on what kind of time I have this summer I wouldn't mind doing it. Maybe even tag along with the Falcon crew???
Here was the last trip I took on old 66. There is not much of it left in a straight line. It's all chopped up but you can still get on most parts.

We will be this summer I'm sure. We will try to get something planned out where we can get together for a little R&R in the hot rods.
