Re: Cars with Patina
This '51 is the one I use in my photo montage with the caption "This is closer to what my wife thinks the car will look like when i'm through". I contacted the seller to see if he would sell me some parts but he wanted an arm and a leg for them. Besides he has already cut the car up. I guess this car had so much patina it ate right through the frame which is pretty obvious since the frame has buckled.

I sure like the way the tailgate is fastened on with the two large hinges where as
the Chevy has one long piano hinge. This wagon has a good stout look to it.

Re: Cars with Patina
Are you guys tired of the pictures yet or do you want to see some more?
Be honest I'm a big boy I can take it. See i'm retired so I can play all day.
Any of you know who Poppa Chubby is, He has a real popular hit "Back Door Man"
It just happens to be playing on one of the blues stations I listen too.
Anyway when I saw this guy I started thinking he might be one of you guys
thinking not this shit (photos) again.

Re: Cars with Patina
This is a '50 Chevy Wagon. I guess you might have figured out by now that I
like station wagons especially '49-'54 wagons built by General Motors.

Re: Cars with Patina
'57 Pontiac #1
According to the info on this car, it's been sold and the new owner is planning on all new body work and repaint. what's the consensus here do you guys like the natural aged look or the complete sculpted body with show quality paint?

Re: Cars with Patina
Yes these cars do have a certain patina or rust value to them but I just thought
it was a pretty cool photo.

Re: Cars with Patina
I liked this one a little more due to the snow melt the water line rose up
and submerged the cars.

This 1927 Buick Sedan spent the first 83 years of its life in the San Fernando Valley,
in California, the last 61 of those tucked in a garage where it was untouched
