Been polising stainless steel like a mad man, also installed 1 drip rail...and installed the "fake" Dynomat....should reduce noise, heat and over make it more a joy to drive......

Re: Sending the 1964 Falcon Sprint off to be painted + more!
that's it I done for the night, gotta be in Indy in the morning, then to the west side....More shop time tomorrow...body man too drip rails, pulled all the windows out, this was a 1st rate job, she is looking real fine, put putting those darn drip rails back on, was a MAJOR pain in the a$$ and darn hard to do....also got all the windshield trim on, Thanks to Jim Norvell in the Falcon club, I didn't get the upper outside trim clips when I got the car back, and Jim saved the day, by having some extra.....
Re: Sending the 1964 Falcon Sprint off to be painted + more!
Side windows all back in, new upper rail seals, new cozy seals, new fuzzies, cleaned all the side trim, installed all the drivers side, need to polish my rocker trim, and start on the other side, hood on, grille in, do some alignments, also restored my 14" Sprint caps and put my 14" on the front end.........by the weekend, I should be installing the insides, and driving it Sunday night.....

Re: Sending the 1964 Falcon Sprint off to be painted + more!

Re: Sending the 1964 Falcon Sprint off to be painted + more!
Where's that Falcon hood with the Comet scoops? Thought you were going to use that. Put that on there with some 4 and 7 inch wide Cragars and some exhaust and it would really make it look sharp. It looks pretty good stock but.................

Thanks, I will screw up alot of cars, my Sprint is my baby....only mags and dauls....but for the national Falcon show, I am show in the stock class, and it is stock, Was doing Charlie Crites a favor, letting the test fit on my car....he is a freind of the club........ so back the Sprint Wires, TTQ's will go back on, after the Hamilton Antique car crusie July 28.....New carpet all but in, back seat too, should be driving it tonight.....
Re: Sending the 1964 Falcon Sprint off to be painted + more!
Did you scratch that new paint job yet? Any touch ups to do?
I painted my 69 Pontiac electric blue with flames. Putting the mag wheels back on it the next day I hit the 1/4 with the jack handle. Man was I mad. It wasn't a bad scratch but bad enough. Happy to say that the second scratch a few months later didn't bug me as bad.

Re: Sending the 1964 Falcon Sprint off to be painted + more!
Hard to believe that shifter is still in there. I guess if you want a stocker but what I remember of those things is why George Hurst made so much money way back when.

Jim the guy I bought the Sprint from said the same thing, I had NO problem runing the gears leaving Porkchops!!!! (truxter fordly said Jim just don't know how to bang gears, his belly is in the way!)
And I lied, just got the last of the insides in, and did a test run.....She's back!!! I will declare, the Build is DONE....now just detailing it out, work out a few bugs....And drive it like I stole it!!!!

Re: Sending the 1964 Falcon Sprint off to be painted + more!
Well Falcon Nationals were great, we had 308 Cars registered, but only 296 Falcon's on site, over 450 in the awards banquet, I was the MC, we gave away ALOT of cool stuff, raffles, Split the pot was over $600, gave the Tulsa Nationals 2013, a check for $1000 and more to come...I am #1 car for the 2013 Nationals, we will be driving Rt.66 from Chicago, I will join in a little south of that, but I plan on driving the 64 out....oh yea....I was a class winner....makes me feel good....it's been a good build.....Stay tuned for the next build...Vicki Nova's 1959 Apache!
