Re: o'reilly auto parts
i spoke with a tire/rim dealer yesterday and he said it was going to be a pia in getting a replacement key. he had extractors there that he bought at sears. so thats why i went to sears. they would never fit in the opening on the wheel. this link above has a set of deep wel and it looks like it might work. headed to lowes today.....

Re: o'reilly auto parts
If you can get a socket on the nut tighten it with an impact wrench until you break the lug stud. Then just replace the broken stud.

Damn all this for a stuck lug nut? Put a pointy bit on the air chisel, split it and blast the thing off. Done!

Re: o'reilly auto parts
hell i'll give you the garage code to get in... i was able to take off the wheel with rotor off. i thought the wheel was all one piece but the center cap was just a piece of plastic. so off it came, fault with the caliper coming off thankfull those high dollar gold chainer schmuck wheels had a wide enough opening for the caliper to slip completly off. i did manage to get 2 of the 5 lug nuts off. NO i wasnt able to get the lock nut off yet. going to borrow a air chiesel and see if that will work like blue eyed devil and rebstew mentioned...

Re: o'reilly auto parts
id like to slap the schmuck that put these lug nuts on these wheels. besides the locking lug. ive been having issues just with the regular lug nuts.... i dont have a high dollar impact gun so maybe thats the issue..
i'm going to attempt to mess with it tomorrow stewart, i have to drop off and pick up the kids from school so being down a vehicle is a pia.... who would have thought just getting off a wheel would be such a pain... very thankfully that it is in the garage and not stranded 100 miles away from home.
