Me and the wife got the old 49 out for 3 or 4 hours yesterday. Stopped and took a few shots along the way. Had a blast.

...and yes, that wall is on River Road. When we parked, I couldn't get her to look at me because she was checking out the half dozen or so Model Ts that where driving by. They were all restored, not rods. Not really my cup of tea, but she loves 'em.

Anyone recognize these hub caps?

I look for over a year for a 57 hubcap for my Super. It had one 55 which was close but that drove me nuts. Never did find one. That was before Ebay made it easy to find everything.

Now maybe people will stop pulling up from behind me at red lights asking "what year is your Chevy?"!

My car was born in Detroit back in 1949. My gas pedal was born in 1949, in Chicago as a bass drum pedal at Ludwig. They were married in 2013 in Newport Ky. The bass drum pedal is called SPEED MASTER, so naturally it had to become a gas pedal!

Very cool!

I have the same thing happen with my Olds. Ok I know other people don't know cars as well as we do, but to ask if its a 57 Chevy? Come on.
