Hang in there Howie. You are not cursed. We have all been there. It does bring you down sometimes but it will work out.

Re: Howie's 1971 Chevelle
Well the holy water didn't work, Couple or new problems peaked their heads out. The day Joe got the tranny right the brake line broke, i think I nicked it with the cross member, cheap enough to fix. Had to replace the battery today it was putting out half the cca it was supposed to lucky enough for me it was still under warranty so it was free. Maybe things are starting to look up. Now just got to get the timing right and give it another try. Keeping fingers crossed.

Re: Howie's 1971 Chevelle
I flipping give up, the car doesn't need holy water it needs frickin religous intervention. Now the thing is pouring antifreeze into the oilpan. Maybe i did something wrong putting the intake back on. But Joe gave me a new intake gasket to try again. This is the last thing i'm doing to do to it my money is gone and if this doesn't work the for sale sign goes in it. The entire drivetrain is almost brand new i should not be having these troubles.

Re: Howie's 1971 Chevelle
Went down and we got it fired up....Howie got the intake sealed good this time ....The new name brand lifters made all the difference....No ticks or bleed off at all... The only bad part is there are three lobes that did loose some lift with those other lifters beating on them.....When the spring gets here do a cam swap in the car.....It sounds good and has good oil preasure....Things are lookin up Howie ....Do one more oil change to make sure you got the coolant all out and call it good for the winter man.... I will bring you a gallon of Rotella T home tommorow..... so just get you a new filter....
