Cut it off flush and wipe some mud over it and smooth it and paint it

They are but i was talkin about gettin rid of the whole nub and make it look like a floor shift column

Was planning on doing that with the sleeve but I need to find out how to get the pin out of the shifter itself then I can go to work on the sleeve part.

Yeap. Smooth it out, paint it and stick a clamp and tach around it.

Should just be a pin. Find a punch or a small scew driver and beat it out.

I have two 3 speed with overdrive trans from 80s trucks that will bolt up,need at least 3.50 gears for them to work good.

I got the pin out and have yet to work on the sleeve but as far as the stick is concerned, man am I ever glad I did it.... It's actually more enjoyable to drive now.
