PARTING OUT - 1954 Oldsmobile 88 Sedan
Parting out a 1954 Oldsmobile Super 88 Sedan. No engine or transmission. Lots of good trim. Really nice dash. Complete headlights and tail lights. Lots of misc. pieces. Body is pretty rough, but maybe some good patches for a wrecked car. Clean Ohio title in my name. Feel free to message me with your parts needs or questions. I can also be reached at (937) 681-6691. Thanks.

I seen an old black and white movie years ago that had a T or an A hot rod in it. Don't recall much other than it had the rear bumper and tail lights made out of a grille bar like the one above. More than likely a little model T but it's been a while since I seen it.

I can't remember if the 54 hood is the same as the 55 or not. Do you know? I've looked around the net and haven't found answer.
My hood has some rot right above the trim. What kind of shape is the hood in? Especially above the trim. P.M. me a cost on the hood when you can please.

I remember seeing that movie too Steve. It definitely stood out. They make cool rear bumpers for tail draggers too. Local guy has one on a Zephyr Coupe. Looks bitchin'!

Is that door cut at the bottom? Is the car worth putting back on the road even if it's just a beater? How's the floor and frame?

That is one bad little hot rod! Giant Gila Monster was the movie. It was driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

Haha yep that's the one!
I do think the car would be worth putting back on the road as a beater, I just don't have time for it. Â Frame is great. Â The floor is pretty decent, but the lower outer body is rough. Â That door is cut, but I have the lower patch panel for it. Â PO never welded it on. Â It's got new brake shoes and rebuilt wheel cylinders. Â It runs great, but the engine is the thing I really don't want to let go of. Â That and the dash are worth more outside the car than in it. Â Sadly it's worth more as parts than whole. Â If I get the engine out and not much else has sold I might cut out the dash and put the carcass up for sale. Â It would be fun to toss a junkyard SBC in and cruise it, but I just have too many irons in the fire to throw much time at it...

Let me know what goes on with it when you are done. If there is enough left over of the rear end maybe I'll buy the back section to make a desk or something.

Benjamin there has to be a bunch of oddball parts you need. Little knobs or door handles?

Re: PARTING OUT - 1954 Oldsmobile 88 Sedan
My car is pretty complete. All my interior parts are there. I just need to get a radiator and start working on the body. The house stuff has me behind on all my projects. We are almost moved. Money is tight as we wait to sell the old house. Hoping to pick up the hood.

The radiator on this car seems fine. I have ran it quite a bit with no issues. Make it a package deal...

Re: PARTING OUT - 1954 Oldsmobile 88 Sedan
I did a bunch of searching today and emailed a few guys on an Olds forum I'm on. Looks like the 54 hood is quite a bit different. So I'm going to pass on the hood. I would be interested in the radiator still. PM me a price on that.

How much would you want for the complete car(minus engine of course). Are the bumpers just painted?

Yes frmula the bumpers are painted. I'd take $600 for the whole car as it sits, less engine/trans.

Hi, are you still parting this car out? If so I was looking for the the horn componenets in the steering column.
