Hey guys we are working on a 57 belair i need pics of front end fender hood gaps cowl fender gaps and fender door gaps. If anyone can post up some pics i know a couple mwmbers should have some just cant find any real good pics on here that show gaps. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

The truth is, if you can't throw a dead cat through the gaps that as good as the factory gaps were. Just try to get them as even as possable. If you really want nice gaps, you will have to add some material to the edges, and grind them in. I have even seen people go as far as making it touch, and then using a cutoff wheel to make the gap. Have also seen cars were after the get it close, they mud up the gap with a peice of string in the middle. when the mud is almost set, you pull the string out and then sand the gap perfect. Of course I don't think those cars are ever ment to be driven.....lol

That is funny. The gaps on Amy's 57 was bad. I never tried to get them any better though.

That is what we did on Roller Coaster's tailgate, it seemed to work.
