Wow, clean car. I don't recall the last time I even seen one on the road. Any future plans?

Re: 80 Thunderbird
There aren't a whole lot of them out there. I have made a few changes. I'll get a pic posted when I can. I didn't originally want to change anything under the hood but with only 134 HP, something's got to give.

Unreal! That is 'grandma fresh' right there...boy, that would turn some heads at a Ford show. Nice find!

I have not seen on that nice for a long time and thinking about trying to find one or any of the other not so popular fox bodies to put my 351-c in.

Re: 80 Thunderbird
Its a 70 to 72 2V motor,I was given a 78 f100 that someone replaced a 302 with it and need to finish installing a new timing chain and see how it runs. Had it running with the distributor way off so I figured the timing chain jumped time but someone had the distributor 180 out,I will get a new timing chain set next week and let it run awhile and see how it does then off to find a car to put it in. Going to build a dual purpose race car that can be taken down the Wilmington mile and with a gear change the woman can run it down the 1/4 mile.

Re: 80 Thunderbird
I just noticed, that's not the factory plastic under the driver's mat, surely?

Re: 80 Thunderbird
I wondered who had put that in there but I never lifted up the floor mat to get a look at it. I just went out there and looked and it says "Dealer must remove protective cover". I'm guessing that it is!
