54 chevy truck

I have a friend who wants to sell a 54 chevy shortbed project he has. I hauled this truck home for him when he bought it locall. All he wants to sell right now is the rolling chassis, cab and doors. The cab is pretty solid. A few minor spots here and there. All around the windows are solid. The previous owner had the truck sandblasted and never done anything after that. Doors haven't been touched and are solid. I have more pictures of the truck. He's located just outside of glasgow. I'm thinking he's wanting $1500. Not sure. I just dropped by yesterday and got some pictures. He has rest of the sheetmetal for the whole truck and he might sell it all together. He was on the fence about it yestreday.

I think its a 39 International. Looks good up front but the rear fenders and bed look funny.

I thought it was a 46 or older Chevrolet.

This guy is an international nut. Last time I count, he has 13 of those old 48-55 chevy trucks. He has several barns and buildings full of trucks, tractor and garden tractors.

Talked to my friend the other day and he is wanting to sell this. Make an offer and it might be yours.

My wife wants a truck from this year so bad. She really is wanting a 49-54 Ford, but is willing to take anything. Wish I had the cash for it. I'd tuck it away for a year or two.

Not much of it there for that kind of price Jonathan. What's his bottom dollar. The dog house would set a person back$$$

If you had a truck and this cab was better it would be a good deal but for the price of a dog house and bed you can buy a whole beater truck.

Did he figure out if he wanted to sell it with the rest of the sheet metal or just cab and doors? Have a title??

Yes I have seen several complete running trucks from $2000 to $2500.

My friend is one of those guy's who is going to fix it up one of these days. I think he finally realized that its not going to happen. He has a willys pickup and a 54 chevy truck that has been painted but never completely finishes. And they've been that way ever since I've known him. He threw the price out there and will take less, but how much less I don't know. Its hard to get him to price something. I tried buying a 46 chevy truck that was incomplete years ago and after a year of not getting a price I finally stopped asking about it. I'll try to get ahold of him and see what his bottom dollar is. He's plays music for a living and just left out last night and will be gone for the next 14 days.

Might as well as delete this ad. Checked my email and he says he has someone he knows that wants the truck when he gets back home.Probably not at this price. This is what I get myself into when I try to help someone.
