New Daily
Since the passing of my late stang I have been on the lookout for her replacement. I was having to wait for insurance issues to be resolved and to receive the payout on the accident, but it all finally came together.
I thought about a lot of different possibilities but the main driving force was something that I could pay cash for and not have a car payment. We had paid off the silver mustang just a few months before and we were really enjoying not having any car payments.
I decided i wanted another mustang but I didn't want the same body style. I grew up through the 80's and 90's and have owned several cars from the 80's. I always liked the fox body mustang so I decided I wanted to try and find one of those.
Here is the result...

Re: New Daily
It's a 1988 Gt. It's been converted to a mass air sensor. It's a rebuilt 302. Has about 10k miles on the rebuild. GT40P heads and intake. Erson cam with .512 lift. Flowmaster exhaust. Ford racing shorty headers. BBK H pipe. BBK cold air intake. BBK 65mm throttle body. 4.10 rearend. And it sounds good!
Speaking of 4.10 gears, I do have a 3.55 gear set on the way. I have found a garage that will put the new gears in, but is there anyone in the club that knows how to put the gears in and set them up properly? I have a master install kit coming with the ring and pinion gear set. I'm on the freeway too much for the 4.10, even with the over drive.
If you aren't able to put a gear set in, I'm willing the take any shop suggestions too. The place I have lined up seems pretty good. They are in downtown Burlington. I spoke with the guy who will be doing the setup. He seems to know what he is doing from talking with him. The price I was quoted is right inline with what I'm hearing everyone else pay on line. I'd love to be able to do it cheaper, but I want it done right so I'm ok letting this shop do it if no one on here can tell me any where better.
If there is a club member that is able to do the swap properly and has all the tools, I will help out and I'm willing to pay you. Just let me know.

I've always liked that body style. I found a convertible local but don't need anything else.

It's a nice car and it has it's own sound. Not typical Mustang GT either. You can hear it coming and it sounds wicked.
