There is also a little known road course being built near the Ky Speedway. Whether or not it will ever be finished remains to be seen, though.

Jerry Carroll's original intention was to build a drag strip and other types of racing venues and make it a true motorplex but that probably won't happen. With Bruton Smith being the owner now, anything is possible.

Wonder whatever happened to the Motorplex idea at Salem Ind.? Rumor was the same there, and I thought the idea was in planning but haven't heard anything since the economy tanked!

When they built the Nashville Speedway, they built the big track and did all dirt work for a short track, road course, drag strip and dirt track. Burton couldn't get NASCAR to bring a Cup race back so he just shut the whole thing down. There is more to the story but that is the basics.

Mark me as NOT a Bruton Smith fan!
If what he does is not monopolizing, I don't know what is! Of course the Frances run a dictatorship, so which is worse? scratch
