Keep that curse within the club please, a broken axle was enough for me.

The Fire Chicken and the 54 is in the same boat. I can creep the 54 around town a bit but the Bird is put up for a while.

HUUUUMMMMMM.........................Looks as though it may be a GM phenomenom. Are the stars crippled? OK Benny, even you admit the 9" is superior. I'm sure you will have a correction though.

Seriously Marty, Was everything where it was supposed to be. I lunched a set of spider gears but it was because the pin slid out and let everything get cock-eyed

A shop up the street replaced them for me. They said the gears were pretty sloppy in there.

Re: The curse of the spider gears the summer of 2012
I don't care how "bulletproof" that rear end is, no matter who makes it, too many one wheel peels is a quick path to the "spider gear shuffle". Of course an "excess" of HP is another helpful item for this disaster. Furthermore, if you launch the pieces through the housing or cover, you did a real good job. Another reason a posi ain't all bad.
