Picked up a 1976 Pinto MPG Wagon 2.3L 4 speed
Picked up this cheapo MPG Pinto wagon, 2.3L 4 speed has dealer installed AC...AM radio, that's it!!! Thinking of making it a Sedan Delivery, Cruising Wagon...spent 5 hours and she puuurs like a kitten, cost 66 in parts, 22 for a new fuel pump and 44 for a re-man distributor...been driving it around, needs tires BAD...anybody got some 10 Hole GT or Pony wheels and tires....should make a cheapo, fun, family cruiser or junk yard/swap meet car!!!

If it has that much rust on the outside what is the rest of it like? I've actually been looking for one of these.

Floors are rock solid, Texas wagon....Surface Rust only, only a few small holes in the body, a day with a DA sander and some high build primer, would do wonders for it.....insides sun baked....I did my last Pinto....fun car

I had a hatch back. Loved that little car. Till I killed it. I always thought it would be fun to build a wagon though. And lose the rear windows like you did. I Had a buddy that did it to a Vega wagon and it was pretty sharp.

Re: Picked up a 1976 Pinto MPG Wagon 2.3L 4 speed
Damn I like those little wagons. Wish I had the coin. I kinda want to buy it just to be sure those panels never make their way near any vehicle ever again. Haha.
