This cold spell stinks!

I'm already having cabin fever. I can't stand to sit in the house. It's too cold in the garage. This is going to be a long winter for me I think.

It's freezing and dark when I go to work and freezing and dark when I leave work... Old man winter needs to give us a break!

I'm getting tears in my eyes every time the furnace kicks on.

My son uses that much natural gas each week taking showers.

I hate winter, but Midwest Gas and Owen County Electric Cooperative love it! I have a forced air propane furnace in the house, a 75 Kw electric air handler in the garage, and an electric heater in the 500 gallon water trough for the cattle that all run when it gets cold.

My next Duke bill will probably be $500 - $600. Just hope it isn't any more than that. I hate winter, the cold, and the snow. Next winter will be the last one before my son goes away to college and I hope that's the last one I spend here. If I don't get any further than Southern Tennessee for the winters, that's a darn sight better than Northern KY. A high of 22 here tomorrow, a high of 41 tomorrow in Memphis.

Since I got back from Florida I have no desire to go out in the garage since its this cold,its too cold to paint the truck so I am going to find some small projects to do to get me out of the house but I have been building a model in the mean time. I am going to get some better gears for the 37 and then use the gears from the 37 in the 55 to get rid of the howl plus it will give me something to do in the garage.

Guess my Camaro Battery is a victim of the cold. Thought I'd better drive it yesterday & it wouldn't turn over. Put the charger on it and after going through the diagnostics it stops and flashes the battery is bad. Tried it a second time & still bad. Battery had a full free replacement until September. I'm going to Sam's to see what it's gonna cost.

That stinks.

Well, they treated me right. Even though I was 3 months beyond free replacement, they replaced it free.

Cool. Hard to get some people to do the right thing some times.

Not as cold as it's been. I spent some time walking around out at the property today. Looks like some big deer have been walking the trails. It was nice to be able to get out without having below freezing temps going through my bones.

Not bad today. Just got home. Been shooting trap. That's probably it for the winter.

Going down to single digits next week. Makes me cold just thinking about it.

Its cold here in clarkrange rain last night turning to snow its cold and still coming down,son is loving it so he don't have too go to school man I will be glad when it warms up,but that will be awhile it is winter time
