I have. Don't know if I'll get any truck/car work done today or not. Tuesday is $5 movie day at Great Escape, so I think I'm gonna go. Gotta work a few hours this afternoon at the Kenton Game & Fish to fulfil my committment there today.

Re: Gonna Be A Busy Week
Picked up the parts for the Jeep and went by to let my brother know I wasn't going to work on it today. Ended up putting the timing set on and rebuilding the oil pump & getting gasket surfaces ready. On my way to KCGF tomy mandatory work.

Re: Gonna Be A Busy Week
Jeep's finished.
Corvette finally threw some hard codes on the ABS/Active Handling. Have to pull the codes.
All of the parts are here now for the Camaro.

It comes in handy & the work needed to be done to it, but it is a PITA to work on. It needs a few other little things done to it still, but I need a break from it. Moving on to my other projects on the Camaro & Corvette for now. My hands need some time to grow out of the embedded grease an heal.

What's up Bill?
Camaro is window motors, a wiring kit to correct voltage issues with the passenger window motor, new speakers, and an ipod hookup.

Re: Gonna Be A Busy Week
Just got a chance to go out & pull the codes from the Corvette. Looks like there's an issue with the right rear speed sensor. Getting a code for excessive wheel speed variation and one for speed circuit open or shorted. Also getting a code that there is a problem with the HVAC driver side actuator.
It's only money. The speed sensor is built into the bearing and hub assembly and is not servicable. Looks like a new part willl be about $150. Saw that a guy had a new GM activator on ebay for $107 delivered. A new one from GMPDirect is about $245, so I went ahead & bought the one off ebay. I know some people have problems buying off ebay and I've had a couple of bad transactions there too, but I've had hundreds of sales & purchases that went very well.
Anyhow, the wheel bearing/speed sensor assy should be here late next week .

Re: Gonna Be A Busy Week
Thought I'd start on the Camaro today.
This is the Autotrix wiring installed to get the necessary voltage to the passenger window motor. New speaker installed and new window motor installed (the drilled hole is to get to one of the rivets that mounts the motor).
Have to finish it tomorrow. Mosquitos were eating me alive.

Hey Ken , I guess you need a very loud stereo system for that ride , but I would rather hear that 8 cylinder symphony on your ride .

Re: Gonna Be A Busy Week
You need to grab you some of those mosquito coils. You light the end and they let off a little smoke. They work good.

Thanks Bill. It's really pretty subdued with the cutouts closed. Not trying to make the stereo any more powerful, just trying to get some decent speakers in there that'll stand up and sound fair. The main issue with the tunes is getting the Ipod connection installed. It's just a lot easier than messing with the CDs. Didn't get to that yet.

If I see any at Big Lots i'll pick 'em up. I use to have one of those bug zappers, but I don't know what happened to it. But even if I had some of the mosquito coils, I probably wouldn't be able to find 'em. If I were ever 100% prepared to do a job around the house here, I'd probably collapse from the shock.

Re: Gonna Be A Busy Week
Thanks Amy.
Ipod connection and speakers and window motors and Autotrix kit are all installed and the interior is back together in the Camaro.
Couldn't leave well enough alone. I had a new top installed on the Camaro a year ago and I didn't like the way the rear window looked. It sagged from the material not being pulled tight enough. I should have taken it back to the installer, but I didn't, and it wouldn't be right to go back now (actually 1 1/2 years later) & complain. Took it all apart and so far I've cut about 5/8" of material & pulled it tighter, but it needs more yet. Working on it has me stressed because if I screw it up it'll be an expensive mistake.

Re: Gonna Be A Busy Week
All of the stuff removed to get the top apart & the bar that the top is stapled to and then bolts to the car around the trunk.
What it looks like when the rear attachment bar is unbolted. You can see the places where the top is cut to go around the bolts that the bar attaches to.
Adjustments made, but not there yet. Since I'm working alone there's a whole lot of remove and cut and install and mark and remove and cut and install going on. I think I'm finished for the day. Gonna try to finish up tomorrow.

Re: Gonna Be A Busy Week
Didn't get a thing done today yet except went to see The American. Don't waste your money on that one.
Rear bearing assy/hub/speed sensor for the Corvette showed up today drop shipped directly from TIMKEN.
Saw this and almost had a stroke. I had no idea anything was actually manufactured in the USA these days.

The whole assembly. It doesn't even have the disclaimer that it's assembled in the US with parts from other countries. I checked the company out. They have locations around the world, but they have manufacturing and rebuilding facilities all over the US from California to New Hampshire, even in Kentucky.
I buy a lot of stuff made in China because that's the only source, but I will never ever by anything made by an Islamicist.

Re: Gonna Be A Busy Week
Top is about as good as I can get it. Where the blue tape points on each side, there was at least a 1/2" gap between the glass and canvass. Now it's tight & a bit harder to latch at the moment, but that'll get better.
