With less than two weeks to the Rumble I just wondered who was going and who had excuses. Fuel10922, LRS30, Junkyard Jeff, Rebstew and Laura seem to be going. How about 40 Standard and Casanova, they have been in the discussion but???



I know some of these kats (LRS30, Junkyard Jeff, Rebstew, and Laura) but don’t think I would recognize some of the others. Do we meet up down the street at the Waterfront Office Park or farther in at one of the hotels or restaurants, or is it everybody for themselves? I personally don’t care where I park but if there is anybody that wants to park up front in a group, there’ll need to be some organization and timing figured out in the next week. I want to leave Dayton as early Saturday morning as I can get my co-pilot moving. If I can hit the road at about 7:00am I can leisurely hit the other side of Indy by 10:00 am. Is anybody taking a grille or any eats? Should we bring dogs and burgers? If not, Madonna and I may just go get a “Burrito as Big as Your Head” over on 38^th Street. I know there’s a week and a half yet to pass but with this band of people where most can’t seem to commit, 10 days is no time at all. I know some lucky stiffs are going to Beech Bend and therefore the Rumble is a little farther down the road, but for most, it’s time to get a game plan together. So who’s going in what with who and bringing what?

Not sure yet when I'm leaving, maybe Friday night.. But if my buddy gets his truck running it will be around 9 am. Sat I'm winging it, Peanut Butter and a loaf of bread and a cooler full of oat soda's..

Did ya have nice weather and a good time in BG. Hopefully no one got hurt at the Cacklefest. About everyone of those I've seen have resulted in injury.

Sir, I did'nt even buy me a shirt....I'm poor white trash from KY..I heard there were 2 death's but not from racing. Old timers just croaking from to much excitement I guess.. Yes it was killer, no I did'nt take any pic's, and yes I will be going again, poss. in Oct. for the Good Guys Event.. Maybe if my brother ever sign's on he will post pic's and video, he was busy all day doing that stuff...I did the whole trip on less than $100, Only had 3 hot dog's and 2 egg's all weekend, I guess I am living proof that there is a poork chop in every can

Glad to hear you had a good time on a tight budget. I have been getting my shirts at the end of the year sale over at Indy. Hard to pass the things up when a $25 shirt is only $5. For that price you can get some to wear to skool and be sum body!

You guys all going to wear Pink Bandana's so my daughter and I can find you over there, or will you be the ones reclining by the trash recepticle disposing of the empty oat sodas?

Ryan, Sorry we did not get a chance to hook up in Bowling Green. It was a good time down there as usual.

I just looked at the weather for Indianapolis, it looks like it's supposed to be sunny all day Saturday. I find that hard to believe. I guess we'll take umbrellas and sun glasses.

What time is everyone going to get there? Looks like we won't be there till around noon.

I'd like to get there between nine or ten but getting my co-pilot moving very early is like trying to deal with the Night of the Living Dead. I want to get there half ways early to be able to spend a little time with my neighbor over there. He's only going to be there in the AM and then heading off on some shopping expedition in Southern Indiana with his better half in search of secented canles or something like that. Man, the compromises some of us have to make............I haven't heard from Jeff or Cole.

I wanted to get there today, for tonight's show with James Intveld. But that's not going to happen. Looks like we will be driving up in the morning. I don't know were we will spend the night, I'm sure we will find something.

I will be leaving the house around 6:30 saturday morning to meet up with Spoons and Stephen Fields at the Meijers in Englewood at 7,so if anyone wants to go be at my house before 6:30. Jeff

Vickers talked me into going. We will be there around 11 or noon.

Madonna and I cruised over with Junkyard Jeff, Steven Fields, and Spoons. It was an interesting ride over to say the least. Fields' car broke the radiator support rod and the fan almost caught the radiator. Spoons lost a valve cover breather and threw oil all over everybody, or at least our car because we were right behide the leaker! We stopped over by Bubba's Hot Rod Shop for repairs and got to check out some really neat progects the guys over there are working on. It the process of fixing the support rod, Spoons socket got welded to fields' sedan. Met up with Da Injun and of his friends Jim and Dave. Spent some time with LRS30 and two of his running buddies relaxing at the end of the day sipping a few oat sodas. We went with Reb and Vickers to get some Burritos as big as our heads afterwards and watched the big rain storm and a lot of lightening thru. Had a good time and hope evrybody made it home OK!! Would post some pics but we are computer challenged at home.
