Next time you make a trip to Dayton looking for old iron you might want to take the time to check this guys business/collection out. It's Ron Hilen's Antique Classic Cars at 5020 North Main in Dayton. He's open 9-5 Monday thru Friday and 9 to noon on Saturdays. The phone number is (937) 275-7450 in case you want to call first. Some of you probably already know about this place but I visited it for the first time a few weeks ago. The prices on the cars in the showroom are a little stiff but there's lot's of cool stuff to see and they were very nice about letting us look around the shop area. It's an old Rambler Dealership with two floors of cars, parts and memorabilia. Looks like everything is for sale but I didn't try to purchase anything so I can't say how flexible his prices are. Here's a few pics. I will post a few more if anybody wants.

It is!!! The shop out back of the showroom (where the '40 Ford on the lift was shot) is a jumble of old parts and project cars. It's as if years ago everybody went home from work one day and never came back. I'm not kidding! Every time I turned around I spotted another cool part. An old Ford Y-block, a straight axle, a pair of bucket seats from a '58 T-bird, an unidentifiable flathead V8 (Cord I think), you name it and it was hidden there under some other junk. He also has a stock of old replacement parts in that basement somewhere so if you need a fuel pump rebuild kit for a '38 Olds or some other oddball part he probably has one. Worth the trip. I included the phone number with my picture post. What are you waiting for? Give them a call and get up there! What a Face

Ron is the person that came to the house and appraised my wagon for me after it was hit. At that time, he said he'd put it baach together but it would have been a fortune. He's has a Forty sedan there that Jeff and Steven Fields were trying to deal on. I don;t think the price was way out of line. Like mentioned above, "just a little stiff"

It's $2800, and nowhere NEAR as cool as that one...

Some of the Road Devils crew down towards TX is building one. Should be neat to watch the build if they post it. They are doing it right. SBC LOL...
