Vicki Novas 1957 Chevrolet Sport Sedan-4 door Hardtop Build

first off, I have to say, I have one of the best gal's in the world, a true HOT ROD COUGAR! Mine LOVES road trips to buy hot rods, Loves Shows/cruise inns, Camping, and working on our old cars, I now have 11 and she has 5....

She bought this 1957 4 door hardtop 2 years ago and put it away till she sold her house, well, it's gone and the 57 is in the shop being done...Pulling it apart, doing it right...Harbor Blue, with a Blue Black interior, WWW and spinners and Fender Skirts....Mostly stock...More as we do it, we took it apart Sunday, and will be pulling it off the frame this weekend....if the mounts come in....seeing more and more of these 4 door hardtops, it is the ONLY 4 door, I'd own...and did, I bought on from my buddy Steve Gibson here in the Goshen, Ohio area when I was 25, that would be 20 years ago...where has the time gone... Question

The family that 57 together stay together? You don't see the hardtop 4 doors much. My 57 Buick was that way. Pretty cool..

After I get my 55 close to stock ride height I am also thinking about wide white radials and a set of 57 Dodge lancer spinners but no skirts.

updated...rockers installed, small rust spot repaired, body work almost done, Vicki and i went and got the Sealer Primer, Paint and Clear coat...$844 employee cost at KOI....wow...next pull off the frame, clean and paint it, and install the new body mounts, then painted within 2-3 weeks, then I get to put it back together...Then the insides.....

Vicki's boy Tommy and I went over and Installed all the glass, we didn't take it out, so after pondering, and head skratching, we got the all in, they all go up and down....so we moved to installing front end/sheet metal, hit a bit of a problem, the A$$ bag who welded a patch panel on the left front fender, did NOT have it lined up, we/body man should have checked it before painting it, but we didn't! The bottom edge hit and the top got nowhere near the bolt holes! I found another fender, Otis preped it and painted it so it will be on this weekend, Drives side that Otis did, fit great...Next the complete interior will be installed...Sunday it comes to Howards Last Chance Garage for chrome install, and finish the brakes/tires/exhaust system and DRIVE IT, like she stole it, she is running a bit low on funds, so NEW bumpers and bits will have to wait, but we have good used stuff, just not as nice as the car is nice. It's nice find a body/interior guy that cares about the work he puts out, at a very fair price, but he is in Mt. Orab, but worth the drive....
