Quick question about a 265 sbc Empty Quick question about a 265 sbc

Post by tiresmoke55 November 25th 2007, 7:31 pm

My uncle is building a 265 i give him for his 4-door 55 chevy,, he just got done building this thing last night,
but for some reason i was looking on Jegs web site about cams, and every cam in there said for a 265 you have too cut a curve in the rear cam journal and if you dont the motor wont get any oil to the top end??? we didnt do that, last night was the first i heard of it... Has anyone else built a 265 or know anything about cutting a curve in the cam? thanks
