Now that is a woman. When we built our first house, I didn't get a garage and she didn't get a fireplace. When we built this place she got her fireplace and I got out of the gravel. Somehow though she thinks she still has a sayso on what happens in the shop.

I know Greg. I'm just poking fun trying to get a rise out of of.Roller Coaster wrote:RebStew wrote:Greg won't post many pics. He's afraid of showing most of us up.
I greatly appreciate all of the comments! And, Steve, I am not into the automobile scene to show anyone up. I have been extremely fortunate and thankful.

Re: Bread & Butter 27 Ford Project
That's what I love about this club. When someone needs help they get it! After a few spot welds I ran out of wire. It was late and all the stores were closed. I ask on here for a little help and Riggs came through with a spool of wire to keep me going tonight. Thanks again Riggs!!!!!

Re: Bread & Butter 27 Ford Project
Tonight I laid the last bead of welding wire on the rear frame rails. I still need to weld on my brackets and tubing for the bed sides but at least the frame rails are all welded up.

The fuel cell has been holding us up a bit. Amy has been wanting to get one a for a while now. Do you think she was happy to get it?

Yeah it has a sending unit in it. I'm tired of carring a gas can every place we go.

Re: Bread & Butter 27 Ford Project
I think I have it figured out for now. I'm going to make a plate and put it in the speedo hole with the gauges. If I don't like it I'll figure something else out later.

Re: Bread & Butter 27 Ford Project
She seems like she likes it. She gets a little upset when it doesn't work they way she thinks it should but for just starting out she is doing better than I did for for my first year.
Like I told her, it's only metal. Burn through it we can fill it. Bad weld we can grind it down and start over. It's just metal. Best way to learn is to just do it.

I like all welds to be perfect.. Yes I'm dreaming... I get a little aggervated when they look like crap. Whatever Steve throws my way I'll give it a good try.. My favorite garage toy so far is the drill press!

Re: Bread & Butter 27 Ford Project
As always I'm jumping all over the place. While reshaping the A pillars I knew it would have a visor. I didn't want a typical visor. It had to be a little different. Something that would roll down the front instead of just kicking back on the corners. It's not all the way done yet but here are a few pics from Amy and my night in the garage.
Before.

Re: Bread & Butter 27 Ford Project
I made a template and then yanked out the 16 gauge.
Tossed it in the half home made bead roller and gave it some style.
